Memorial Weekend

Hope that everyone enjoys themselves this weekend and return home safely. This weekend I am relaxing with my family and cats. Gave the female cat a bath today. Male gets it tomorrow. I can’t handle two in one day.

No news on “Growing Up in the Rockies” but this was a vacation week. Probably will hear something on Tuesday. I got behind on my calendar so pricing will be added next week.

Glad to see you are here. Good news!

“Growing Up in the Rockies “ is in final production stages. There will be a release date announced soon along with the pricing and how to order it. I will have 42 hard copies and 10 paper back copies  off the press. Then the book signings and marketing will begin. It will be a busy summer. I hope everyone catches me while they can.

I am currently Updating My Blog Site so some links may not work yet. Please be patient with me as I am learning about all of this.

Poetry book “Dreams of Yesterday!” I have 15 original copies in my home. I am going to number them 1-15. They will be the only numbered authographed copies sold. Numbering gives them a special authenticity. If you want a numbered copy don’t wait. When those fifteen are gone I will not number any more. “Dreams of Yesterday” is a limited edition book. It was my first book and once it is taken off the press I am going to give it a new look with new poems and do an ebook and hard copy under a different title.  This is a one time chance. The first fifteen to contact me will get the books. I will be posting later this week my pay pal.  However, you can send me an email or a comment to reserve this book.

Book Pricing is $15.95 + $4.00 shipping any where in the United States. Out of the US international charges apply. If you don’t know what the international rate is go to and check their shipping rates.

May 14th

Today I started writing the Sequel to “Growing Up in the Rockies” it will be titled “Coming of Age in the Rockies,” The Rebel in Me!  It will the memoirs of my high school years, why teens rebel, leaving home, going to college, and getting married. It will cover leading to the adult world that everyone was taught we were expected to follow according to the values and standards of our parents in the 60’s and societies norms ending with divorce. I hope you will take these journeys with me as I go through my books of memoirs.

The third book of memoirs will be “Try Walking In My Shoes” it has already been started and it will address the devastation of divorce and how it affects those that are involved and what it did to me and my family. It will be the journey through divorce, deaths, and children growing up too fast. It will also answer the question is there life after divorce.

I am just starting my writing journey and I hope that my readers will stay with me through each book, as they will be completely different. Going through a happy childhood, to frustration of adolescence, through joys of marriage and birth of children, to anger, fear, and total destruction of a middle class life style.

My life has traveled three quarters of a circle. It will not complete the full circle until I meet the granddaughter who was put up for adoption by her mother. Then my circle of life will have gone completely around and back to full happiness.

My story is the story of what can happen to the average person in our world today. I wish to share to let others know that they are not alone and to share what it took for me to make it to where I am today. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. One must never give up.  Perseverance is our strength.

Thank you all for visiting my blog.

Come Right In and Make Yourself at Home!

cjanasdreams started from my dream of writing and sharing my life’s experiences with others. I had dreamt about writing but now I have learned that DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE! My dreams started with the publishing of my first book in January of 2010 proving to me that I could accomplish what I wanted to do. Now my second book is about to be published and I will be writing as long as my mind allows me to.

Come and lets begin a new journey together.

“Dreams of Yesterday,”

a collection of over 100 poems written over a period of twenty years. They started from song lyrics which took longer to write and gave me a new direction. The cover love, divorce, family, friends, children, nature, pets. They are both happy and sad leaning more to sad as it was a difficult period in my lifetime. I hope that everyone will at least find one poem that is a favorite that they would like to comment on.

“Growing Up in the Rockies,”

is a memoir of a happy childhood. I grew up in a mining town, the mining hills, the Rocky Mountains and the wilderness were my back yard. It is about to be released any day now and I hope that my readers will find it as enjoyable as I did writing it.

SEQUELS COMING:  “Coming of Age in the Rockies,” to be followed by “Try Walking in My Shoes.”

I have already started a second book on poetry, several children’s books, and have recently began my book on short stories. I will be writing about my experiences of teaching over a forty year period.

I hope that you have enjoyed your journey this far and will continue to journey with me. I am looking forward to many adventures with many new friends. All comments, questions, and hello’s are appreciated.

Hello world!
