March 27th

The links to order “The Land of Horses”

If you go to Amazon.Com the book doesn’t come up under the title. You will have to look it up under Janice N. Richards. I don’t know why that has happened but I will be checking on it. It is now available at both of these locations. The first delivery of books was shipped to me yesterday via UPS so they could come any day. I only ordered seven so they won’t last long. If you are in a hurry contact them direct or get a hold of me before the seven are spoken for. First come first served.

CreateSpace and Amazon.

American Diabetes Association Alert Day® is a one-day “wake-up call” asking the American public to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Held on the fourth Tuesday of every March, the next Alert Day will be held on March 27, 2012.

For every Diabetes Risk Test taken, Boar’s Head® – manufacturer of premium delicatessen products – will donate $5 to the American Diabetes Association starting March 27 through April 27, 2012, up to $50,000.

Well today is a nicer day although somewhat overcast.

In the world of National Days there isn’t much to be found.

National “Joe” Day is listed but no references as to how, why or what information.

However, National “Joe ” Day is the day that if you don’t like your name you can just be called Joe. Everyone goes through a period in their life when they don’t like their name for whatever the reason.  Today you can change and just have everyone be called Joe, Jo, JoJo, whatever your heart desires today. You can have a different name.

Today is National Paella Day

Paella is currently an internationally-known rice dish from Spain. It originated in the fields of a region called Valencia in eastern Spain. Today paella is made in every region of Spain, using just about any kind of ingredient that goes well with rice. There are as many versions of paella as there are cooks. It may contain chicken, pork, shellfish, fish, eel, squid, beans, peas, artichokes or peppers. Saffron, the spice that also turns the rice a wonderful golden color is an essential part of the dish.
For more informational Look up Paella Rice, Spanish Paella or Paella Recipes. There are many recipes available on-line.

So for today we will all be called Jo, support Diabetes, eat Paella and order my book The Land of Horses to give you something relaxing to enjoy as you sit back and enjoy the spring as it heads your way.

So until next time 🙂
