October

October

October rolls in like a mystery,

Change of colors for everyone to see.

One day is sunny with cool air,

Then the wind comes out to blow your hair.

Sometimes sunshine, sometimes rain,

Sometimes snow, sometimes they change.

Fall is ending, everyday is unknown.

Winter soon will be full blown.

Harvest workers in the fields,

Farmers reaping what this year yields.

Children preparing for Halloween,

Soon there will be many costumes seen.

Pumpkins, squashes everywhere,

Ghosts and witches ready to scare.

Soon children will be in the street,

When they go to trick or treat.

Candy will be checked by all,

So no harm the children will befall.

Parents and police alike,

Will be alert on Halloween night.

When all has been said and done,

Children everywhere will have some fun.

When October comes to an end,

Winter is around the bend.

Costumes are all put away,

For another Halloween day.

Children go to sleep at night,

Dreaming how many they tried to fright.
